Last day our school invited Mr. Zhao, who design a lot of beautiful garden to our school and gave us a speech about garden design.
Garden design is a very famous and elegant work. Here includes a lot of professional work, too. I think the speech is very interesting and gave me some knowledge about garden design.
At first, Mr. Zhao showed a short video to us and gave us an intuitive impression about garden design. The video is very beautiful it showed some example about garden design. It said the Aesthetic characters in Taihu’s stones are: thin, aperture crystal and rugged. Taihu’s stones are generally not large, but very beautiful, and also have a clever combination of well-splicing. There are a lot of meaning of “garden” in ancient China. It means bounding wall, the terrain changes and the well. There are a lot of size of garden in China. There are garden just of royalty, these garden were very beautiful and huge. In fact, it will cost a lot of money and people to build a royalty garden. Personal garden is more normal than royalty garden. These garden almost small but still very beautiful. Some people who have a lot of money, they build rockeries, pool, trees, grass, and some other thing that make garden more and more beautiful.
Beautiful garden always have good composition. Architect usually spends a lot of time to thinking but doing. Mr. Zhao let me see a very artful design about the stone who near the river.
In Taihui, the river always flood in winter. So it’s a little ugly when the stone appear directly. How to solve this problem? The stylist let stones into the bottom of the ladder in the form of layers.
and adapt to changes in tidal rise and fall, this could make the picture more coordination.
I learned a lot of knowledge in this speech. It made me get interest in garden design.
